The UV index is an international standard measure of the intensity of solar radiation. This scale is used in the daily forecasts, its intent is to allow people adequate photoprotection 0-2: no danger for the average person (green) 3-5: low risk of damage for unprotected people (yellow) 6- 7: high risk of harm to unprotected people (orange) 8-10: very high risk of harm to unprotected people (red) 11+: extreme risk of harm to unprotected people (purple).
